I went here with a friend one night. After my first round I was told I couldn't have anymore because I didn't tip (like a lot of people, I usually tip when I cash out for the evening). I couldn't figure out why the bartender was so mad and even tried to tip him $10, but he wouldn't take it. He insulted me (in front of a female I had taken out no less) and wouldn't even accept my apology for not tipping on the first round of my tab. I have been here several times and the female bartender I usually get is completely nice and reasonable. Beware the male bartender. I would suggest just going to the tribeca tavern next door instead. It has a full bar and usually has good service too.

Went here on a date and had a really great time. Really nice ambience- perfect for an intimate date. It was not too loud (unlike many NY bars) and a very intimate setting. I would suggest for one-on-one drinks it's a great place!

Visiting from Sweden I was taken to this relaxed and friendly bar ended up chatting about health care reform and the naming of kids in Utah...and that just about wraps it up...a place with opinionated and funny people...I would return any day!

With its dark lighting and candles, anotherroom is a great place to go any night. I recently went with friends and enjoyed the fact they had a wide variety of beers, it wasn't insanely crowded so you could actually hear your friends speak and just a great find overall. This place is very clean and the decorating is fantastic. You can go with friends, with a special someone, it's just a nice place to grab a beer and enjoy an evening.

A Friend and I Stopped in During The 2007 Tribeca Film Festival . Upon Entering We Were Impressed By Intimate Lighting With Tea Light Candles And The Concrete Floor Added To The Cavernous Atmosphere. A Great Selection of Beer, Saki And Wine That Was Written On A Chalkboard Behind The Bar, Gave This Place A Great Corner Bar Feel.. .. I Would Recommend This Bar To Anyone Looking For A Place To Hide Away From The Noise Of The Big City.

I stumbled upon Anotheroom quite recently because I was early for a dinner reservation at Montrachet next door (highly recommended). This is a bar I recommend for dates or catching up with friends. It’s a great date place because they have a nice wine list for the ladies and an impressive beer list (for beer lovers) for the guys, which are all reasonably priced – also there are a few of really good restaurants in that area. Also it’s great date atmosphere because it is dimly-lit with candles. Even the bathroom was really romantic with its candles – a nice place for a discreet hook-up (the idea did pop up between my boyfriend and I). Anotheroom is also great for catching up with friends because it’s not too loud and not too quiet laid-back atmosphere.
