My husband and I, a very good looking couple, went there last night. There was a large crowd of people waiting to get in. They called all the girls to go in. The one guy called me and I pulled my husband along. When they saw him they said no to us. My husband showed his Fire Department I.D. and they wouldn't honor it. He was so upset we just took off.

The staff was surprisingly friendly, including the fur coat-clad bouncer, but they subjected my friend and me (both 20-something females) to an oddly thorough handbag search upon entering the foyer, perhaps in conjunction with the zero tolerance drug policy notice that graces the front door. From there our experience was only lackluster; despite arriving at 10:30 on a Friday night neither the upstairs area, where we split a bottle of too-sweet and overpriced pinot grigio, nor the basement had any energy...and it never picked up. The crowd was an odd mix of suits, Euro tourists, and romantic couples (sipping pink martinis), and the decor seemed plain. Where was the party vibe about which I'd heard so much? The whole scene felt flatter than week-old Champagne.

APT is part of the history of NYC night life but still in the present and future, the music is great every single day, the sound system is very clean, the staff was so nice and pretty (i am in love with this nice brunette at the door) the only bad thing you will ever heard about this place is from someone not cool enough to get in !!! i loved it each time i was there

Never again will I convince my friends to go to this place. Despite the fact that we all arrived seperately, the door-woman insisted that if we were going to be more then 5, that we order a bottle. She started a fight with a group of girls outside for 10 minutes after she let them in (despite that they were paying covers and that we assured them that we would not be sitting together). Then at 11:00, they insisted that we either order drinks or go downstairs, but we could not stay upstairs if we weren't ordering (this is after we each paid $10 covers and ordered two drinks each minimum). The most humiliating incident however, was with a waitress who snatched my drink when it was still half full. When I confronted her saying that I refused to buy another drink, she dragged in her manager making a scene and telling him that I was lying. I was so humiliated in front of my friends who I had brought there for a friend's birthday celebration. Basically, as much as I love this place, I don't think ever again.

We went there yesterday ... A very and interesting good looking place -- We have no problems about the service!! The price??? A kind of New yorker price ... 10 dollars to entrance and very expensive drinkes (1 beer = 7 dollars) -- Unfortunatelly we don't appreciate Rap music, but I think is the style of that night ... But I'd look for this information through the website and didn't find it ... That's all!!

Honestly the worst service of New York City.... 10$ cover aggressively required, rude staff, reservation cancelled... no need to tell you more

Some Saturday's "BumpShop" nights downstairs are very recommended..you might be able to find a favorite DJ there. The bartenders there might seem to be cold but oneday you would find that they are just being cool and professional...

A super swank interior more than makes up for the scanvenger hunt to find it. Absolutely stunning to the eye. Lay back and observe the scenery (both decor and human) and sip libations, head below for spins and sins in the low-lit underbar, or step to the deck for a bit of air. Staff was a bit cold and even more pretensious than I would have liked, but then with a spot like that...wouldn't you be also?

Being an Australian in NYC on business, it was great to find such a great location to have a drink and listen to some emphatic beats. DJ Emskee & Monk1 on Wednesday nights are first-rate & the dinks mixed by resident bartender -Mike are worth the trip. -Nate-

APT has a fun hip vibe that brings out some extra ambience to The Meat Packing District. A young professional crowd that mixes with a modern look. A clean layout overall.
