Out at Arlo and Esme: downstairs at this bar I feel like I am at some euro trash club. I would say I don't like it, but I do. Good people, some crazy looking club girl with shiny pants, and best of all I still get to chill on a couch. Couches or sitting otherwise allocated makes for a pleasurable experience. This bar also has a gated porch so you can enjoy a drink outside if u get to hot from the crowded interior...sweet. They also make use of large industrial fans. Who needs ac when you can stand next to a blowing wind. I should tell you now...there was no evading the hipster element. Tight jeans t-shirt with clever wording hat and white glasses...without prescription Also, they have a DJ spinning tunes. At around 12 they started mixing the best of the 80s...version 3. It wasn't cheap, and I don't know if it was worth it, but after a few gin and tonics into the night; are you really going to notice? -From http://spoonfeeder.blogspot.com/

Bought a few bottles and a table with some friends for NYE. Prices were reasonable (as far as that stuff goes, though we and our guests still had to pay the NYE cover which seemed odd). Service was impeccable and friendly. I've been here before when it's been packed but this time it wasn't too bad. I'd say A&E is a great place to come with some friends if you're looking for a low-hassle environment with a decent crowd. The DJs are alright, but nothing to write home about and the dance floor can get a bit too crowded.
