Thank God for Automatic Slims. A real Bar that plays real Music, not the kind of SHIT they been making for the past 15 years or so, but great R&B, ROCK, and Pop from the 60's, 70's and some 80's. Great Vibe with a low-key ambiance and hidden away on a block from no-where. I used to go to Autos 20 years ago and always loved it. Hadn't been there in a number of years as I've lived in the East Village and the part of the West Village that's almost 20 blocks away, and I mostly go to places in the neighborhood. Every time I seem to be near Automatic Slims has been on a Sunday, the one day of the week they're closed. Recently are started going back. It's worth making the Trek from 18 blocks away. Great Bartenders, Awesome Music, "No Hip Hop" or other CRAP. Fairly price drinks and good Bar Eats. PS ... A great Happy Hour too. Love this place, and hope it never changes. Dan
Picnics with a view, roller-skating nostalgia, and a party for gay headbangers.
