NOT at all what what pictures depict! Read on...

  • No, I would not go back!

This place is NOT what it appears in the photos depicted. For one, the downstairs looks very unclean, unkempt & looked like a renovated basement, with a tremendous amount of wear & tear. What is supposed to be the stage area is even dirtier. Honestly, it looks like a stage located in an old dive club. The house drum set was not complete. The kit looks like it has been put together from equipment found in a dumpster. Its not what you see in pic. If the drummer hits the bass drum, it seems to move away from its position, distracting the drummer to have to move it back several times throughout the song. Secondly, the sound guy seemed to initially not be willing to accommodate the bands technical needs. However, he did , but with an attitude. Lastly, my biggest complaint is reserved on the bathroom appearance and function. The womens toilet was overflown, the sink atrociously disgusting, no hand towels, writing all over the walls & the lock on the door was broken, replaced with a slide bolt lock that had no hole to feed in to actually 'lock'. The wood frame was splintered & worn. Many code violations here folks. An establishment should be aware that a toilet will be used by many, especially on an event night, so therefore have an attendant available, to tend to sanitary issues throughout the night. I hate to leave bad reviews but this deserved one. I do hope Bar East will be awakened by this and seriously do something to maintain what they advertise.
