Puppy Palace

By laurator on 6/5/2013

  • Overall Rating: 10
  • Yes, I would go back!

On Sunday afternoons this bar turns into a puppy palace, ideal for a Sunday Funday date. You can get two beers for five dollars during happy hour so you can be a little cheap (just make up for it later)! They always play great music and there is a backroom in case the front gets a bit too crowded for you and your four-legged friends. Even if you don’t come with your own dog, this place is so chill that you can probably just borrow someone else’s. Just make sure to return it to its proper owner, as jail is not an impressive place to woo your date. datemapps.com

Be Wary of Sunday Afternoon Drinking

By Aileen Gallagher (NY MAG) on 4/25/2010

  • Overall Rating: 8
  • Yes, I would go back!

BGH has a great atmosphere and friendly staff and customers. However, Sunday afternoons seem to be dog and baby days. Dogs are unleashed and kids can be running around underfoot. If that's not your scene, go elsewhere and wait for weeknights.
