This hidden neighborhood gem doubles as an incredible sportsbar whenever there is a game on. Their buffalo wings are among the best I've ever had. Barrow Street Alehouse is a chill, laidback place to grab a beer, enjoy some food and party with friends. Oh and its definitely reasonably priced.

This is one of the best happy hour specials in Manhattan. ONLY 3 DOLLARS FOR BEER!!! 14 different draft beers on tap for only 3 dollars I went there on a Monday and got 40 cent Hot Wings and $3 Stella. It was the best afternoon day drinking and SOOO! cheap.

On a recent Saturday afternoon, my wife and I ducked into Barrow Street Ale House to grab a bite and escape the heat. We were pleasantly surprised by the warm reception, cold beer, solid menu and cool atmosphere (both temperature and ambiance). The bartender (obviously lonely on a sparse Saturday afternoon) welcomed us immediately and we had our pick of seats (did I mention it was sparse?). We saddled up to the bar and each enjoyed a cold draft (she Newcastle, me Stella). My wife, a chicken-wing coinsure, enjoyed Barrow's straight-forward buffalo sauce, whilest I was a little too excited to see turkey burger amongst the offerings. The fries that came with my burger were crisp and hot (as they should be) and were devoured in short order. We stayed for probably one too many beers (as we finished watching the Mets game) and left quite stuffed which led to the inevitable Saturday late-afternoon nap. All-in-all a good time that I plan to repeat at Barrow's!
Picnics with a view, roller-skating nostalgia, and a party for gay headbangers.
