I used to love their Italian food back when. Home made red sauce, wonderful scallopini, warm, genuine hospitality. I miss their being there. How is the food at the new place? Does anyone care? I was never turned down by any doorman, and knew the guys at "54" by name. I have not been to Beatrice since it became THE Place 2 B, but will never subject myself to the indignity of door thugs, not at this stage of the game. Neither should you. This sort of fake status creation has seen its day. It's for kids.

The place is great, very unique atmosphere, beautiful people, good bar and all. Somewhat funny to read the negative reviews posted here. Most of them didn't get in, and seem to be pissed about that. And some New Yorker who doesn't go out in the Village, because that's just for tourists? Yeah, ok... This place is worth a visit, for sure. You either want to be a beautiful girl, or have one with you to get in. Looking like you're going to spend a ton will help too. It is business, after all.

If you are of the elite that can get through their doors which means you either work in the fashion, media, music or basically any other interesting industry or you are simply a trust fund hipster or celeb then this is the ONLY place to go out in NY. Most people don't go here once a week they go here 3-5 times a week.

Was wanting to check this place out. I am a single male trying to get into the Inn. When I approached the door I was greeted by two doormen. One of them asked what party I was with I said I was with my own party. The doorman proceeded to tell me that the bar was closed to the public for a private party. I asked if this was all night and he replied that since it was a holiday weekend the Inn was private only. I said thats too bad and walked away. The doorman was hardly all that and would have been turned away had he tried to get in. I think the pretense of the Inn is not necessary. I definetly fit the New York club scene and have been let in to much higher profile type venues. I would skip this place. Not worth the attitude.

door guy is nice, if you're nice ... avoid it when they've got "industry nights" - then it becomes super annoying with PR people ... i have to admit, seeing josh hartnett brought out my inner-little-girl

If you're a Hipster in the know then this is your new Mecca. Dark, dingy, undergournd... Everything a hipster secretly craves for. The music jumps from 'The Killers' to 'The Gorillazs and from Abba to Snoop Dogg. A mix of unusual club songs keeps the tiny dance floor jumping, you'll find yourself saying "I haven't heard this song in so long" over and over. Guys: Bring a pretty girl and go early if you you're not in the "know". Ladies: It's summer time, we all know what that means.

Very hip place that looks like an underground (low ceiling) maze :-) Crowd of young socialites, either having a drink "downstairs" or dancing like crazy "upstairs" on "old school" music. Waitresses are models and celebrities like to party here. A great spot for the second part of the night...
