Per http://billsnyc.com/ they've closed... "Our last night at 57 East 54th St was March 24th. Our landlord refused to renew our lease and after an 88 year run, we were forced to close if we wanted to have the freedom to continue to run the Bill's Gay 90s we all know and cherish. we are working on our new home."

I've been here twice, first on recommendation of a local. Good food but especially a great time in the piano bar where the piano player (both times has been Elliot) knows every song you could ever ask for and plays with such enthusiam. We never wanted to leave. great history of the place. I was sorry that Aldo was no longer there to share his many stories. I highly recommend this to any and all for food, fun and entertainment

I had the pleasure of being in Bill's Bar during a beautiful summer in September 2007 with my Mum. The bar staff were fantastic and the entertainment first class. My Mum and Dad are going back to NYC for my Mum's 60th birthday next month and will definitely be going back. I would recommend this bar to anyone. We left a bit tipsy and had a great time. I hope to go back to Bill's Bar one day soon.
Picnics with a view, roller-skating nostalgia, and a party for gay headbangers.
