Heard your bar sent representatives to the Community Board 8 Meeting tonight, April 11th 2012, to keep the Oval (or, the softball field under the 59th street Bridge) a public park. Out f*cking Standing!!! You guys get it!!! Our team had practice on the West side tonight and were unable to attend this round of hearings. But we will certainly be stopping by your establishment after our next practice under the bridge. The fact that your wings and TV's are totally amazing doesn't hurt either!!! Great job guys!!! --EMPIRE Softball

stumbled in after going to serendipity and I had an amazing time here, and will most definitely return. bartender was great. the fastest car bomb taker I've ever seen, it was entertainment alone. his wife also happened to be there and she was an absolute doll. wished I remembered their names, but I guess that means he did his job ;)

I go to the Blue Room with co-workers about once a week. The place is small and can get very crowded at times during sporting events. The prices are cheap but it seems the prices change when different bartenders work. They do have a happy hour but they do not advertise it. The food is ok and the service for it is fast. They also have a takeout menu and deliver within the neighborhood. The bathrooms are a mess and seldom clean. Sometimes you must keep your coat on during the winter and you can beg for air conditioning in the summer. My one big complaint is a lack of bartenders when it is busy during sporting events. I think a good idea would be for the waitress to help out the bartender during busy times but this rarely happens. On most days a few Scores girls will stop by before or after there shift since Scores is a block away. All in all its a nice place to knock down a few and watch the game.

Shell (my fiancee) and I went from England to our favourite city in the world - New York in March and we stumbled upon the Blue Room. We watched the basketball play offs, ate chicken, played pool and danced with the regulars to our favourite tunes off the duke box. We were made to feel so welcome we stayed until the early hours and returned the following day. Shell even got to show off her skills behind the bar. We are coming back in Nov. and cant wait to see Bob & the gang in the Blue Room.
Picnics with a view, roller-skating nostalgia, and a party for gay headbangers.
