I agree with the above. There is ONE cool bartender, and by cool I mean he'll actually acknowledge you and serve you and maybe indulge in a little chit chat. There is another gnarly looking, haggard looking hipster chick who sucks and then some hot semi-cool other bartender. The patrons are drunken douches who are way too agro for rich upper east siders. The place is L-A-M-E.

According to the NYC Department of Health, Brother Jimmy's, 1485 2nd Avenue has major health violations. http://a816-restaurantinspection.nyc.gov/RestaurantInspection/SearchDetails.do The site notes 43 violations on inspection on 1-26-11 and 36 violations on the re-inspection on 3-01-11. Although sign in the window says "Sanatation Grade Pending" those scores = a C grade. Can't believe people still eat there. SCARY Some of the violations include" "cold food item held above 41ยบ F", "Evidence of mice or live mice present in facility's food and/or non-food areas,"facility not vermin proof. Harborage or conditions conducive to attracting vermin to the premises and/or allowing vermin to exist", "Plumbing not properly installed or maintained; anti-siphonage or backflow prevention device not provided where required; equipment or floor not properly drained; sewage disposal system in disrepair or not functioning properly." This place is a nightmare. You can't hear yourself over all the drunken shouting; the staff looks oppressed. The BBQ is run-of-the-mill at best. Go anywhere else.
