Looking for a good club in NYC?

No, I would not go back!

with a local NYC crowd, spots in the Meatpacking district, Chelsea. and other hot parts in the city. Places like: KISS&FLY, AENUE, TENJUNE, 1OAK, LAVO, Riff Raff's, Gansevoort Park, WIP, RdV, and many more. I host few different spots every night and always have a VIP table or a table on the dance floor. Celebrating birthday, bachelorette/ bachelor party? I can get you the best deals. Table reservation? Bottle service? I can make a table reservations in almost every spot in the city, getting the best tables in the club and best prices. I meet my guests outside the club and personally walk them in making sure everything is going smoothly and they having a good time. Stage 4 AjnaNomma

No, I would not go back!

Horrible! Booked a brunch 3:30 in the afternoon for a Bachelor/Bachelorette party, reserved a table for 13 people to eat (two weeks in advance) 6 Couples plus one Guy from Bridal party. The Groom shows up twenty minutes late for his own party at $150.00 a head ($1,950.00) to start for the table. The door-boy refuses the groom entry because he was a man. He said 6 women and 7 guys at the table wasn't what they were looking for, they thought he would be a woman. He tried to explain it was his event, he was paying. The door-boy refused to let him in. Groom started making calls to the already seated wedding party. Door-boy made him wait outside in freezing weather for twenty minutes. When half the table inside came out to see what the delay was , the boy at the door finally let him in- Once inside, The Groom ask the bouncer inside- Is this the way the door-boy always treat customers with reservations. The door-boy hears this and tries to have the groom thrown out. Yes THAT REALLY HAPPEN! Its a shame Ajna Bar management keeps this type of worker at the door. As far as the door-boy , I guess he wishes he was alive when Studio 54 was open. Food was mediocre at best . Music was beyond blasting loud and the female staff was pretty but looked starved. I guess they dont like the food either. Live / Work Manhattan, even the Bridge and Tunnel folk said Lame-O- ... not impressed, Ajna Fail ! You've been warned . Just don't do it, your better then that.

Not A Restaurant, Not A Lounge - Not Worth It

We asked the American Express Platinum Concierge to recommend a restaurant for us to entertain friends visiting from the UK. The Concierge suggested Ajna Bar and said that our friends would love the food and the decor. It was a very hot day in NYC and the restaurant was quite warm. Half the restaurant was in darkness, so overall it felt gloomy. The appetizers were very good, and the main courses were all too salty. The five spices on my duck breast were salt, salt, salt, salt and salt. The rice wasn't as good at the worst Chinese take-away restaurant. The worst part about the evening was the music. It was just way too loud for a restaurant. We couldn't even talk to our friends. I asked the waiter to please have it turned down a bit, and he returned to say that they'd done so. I didn't notice a difference, so asked to speak with the manager. I said, "You're either a restaurant -- with music that's not loud, or you're a nightclub." He said they were a "lounge with a restaurant," but did turn the music down a little. As others have said, this restaurant feels "touristy" -- there was a table of about 10 accountants near us, not saying a word to each other (how could they over the loud music). There are much, much better choices out there. Our meal was almost $600.00. They'd added a mandatory 20% tip.

Loved it!

Yes, I would go back!

Despite all the bad reviews I decided to take my friends from Paris there and we had an amazing time. The atmosphere and decor were awesome! The food was great and I loved the fact that it wasnt as packed as other meatpacking venues were you can't even move. I would definitely come back for any event or party that I need to organize

WORST RESTAURANT I HAVE EVER BEEN TO

No, I would not go back!

DO NOT GO TO AJNA BAR. Worst experience of my life. I have never had to deal with such an incompetent and rude group of managers as I had to at Ajna. I, along with my friends were all overcharged on our bill and a month after, my credit card bill has not been reinstated to the correct amount. One friend was charged twice and Ajna has made no effort to correct this. I have wasted countless hours trying to correct my bills and have only failed, after being YELLED AT by the managers, despite their own mistakes. WORST SERVICE AND MANAGEMENT TEAM. There is a reason why the Buddha Bar recently changed management and ownership and it is very clear that they do not have a good handle on things.

For Clubbing? NO, NO, NO!!!

No, I would not go back!

Disclaimer: I was dragged here against my will by friends visiting from out of town, even though I warned them that BB is NOT a CLUB. BB is a RESTAURANT! Don't be deceived by the rude doorman, the ropes or the sad tourists standing in line - BB is NOT a CLUB. If you do get dragged to BB, be prepared for crappy music blaring from blown speakers and no dance floor/space, which leaves the tourists to dance around dinner tables. Nice. And, the primary criteria for gaining entrance appears to be agreeing to a table/bottle service (which we did not and jumped the line anyhow), as the clientele was almost entirely composed of scroungily dressed tourists. I would recommend going to BB if you're a tourist who has no idea how to dress to go out in NYC and your only option is to buy your way into a "club." We left BB fast and went to a proper NYC club with amazing music, a real dance floor and a door policy based on allowing in only classy clientele.

A Nightmare of an experience.

A friend & I had dinner in the restaurant at 8pm, which was nice - cool decor, good food & an attentive waiter. After dinner, we moved to the lounge to reserve a table & bottles & wait for our friends to arrive. (My brother & I were told in several calls that tables can't be reserved in advance.) Once in the lounge, we were introduced to Felix, who arranged for us to have a table that goes for 4-5 bottles, for "just" 3 bottles. Felix then agreed to sell us 2 bottles, on the condition that we had a max of 10 people join us, whom Felix would personally let in. When our friends arrived, Felix would NOT let them in. I went ballistic & got most of our party inside, after fighting with Felix. Jimmy, the nasty owner & ruler of the door, refused to let 4 of our guy friends in, who wanted to buy more bottles. 2 bottles & $900 later, we left & met the rest of our friends at One. The staff at Buddha is the worst I've ever come across & this place is NOT worth the inevitable heartache you will experience.

OBNOXIOUS staff!

No, I would not go back!

I have NEVER dealt with such unprofessional, DISRESPECTFUL and unaccommodating staff! Running late for our reservation, we called and were told as long as we were okay waiting at the bar for a little, it would be fine. We arrived (celebrating birthday & engagement) and were checking in with a host when UDI, the RUDE MAITRE'D interrupted and informed me that he could not accommodate us until 11:30pm! When told he was being rude, he responded, "Yes I am being rude". Asked for a manager after an hour and he seated us at a 3 top (4 people) 2 feet from the coffee room. They had 5 four top tables open throughout the night and could have seated us (one open 40 min). When questioning the table, we were told Âthis is the one Udi is giving us". We left to STK and they were packed but took care of us in 15 minutes! Food is consistently better and so is the staff!! Food at BB is mediocre; good only for atmosphere which is not worth the headache! I have never been spoken to / treated so rudely by restaurant staff and the error was on their part!

Quite Good, but Not Great

Yes, I would go back!

I enjoyed my dinner at Buddha Bar and so did the others in my party (4 total). The service was decent, the food was better than average, the theme/ambiance, including the music, was great. The drinks were definitely overpriced as was everything in general. You can tell that, like many places in NY, half of what you pay for is just the "cool" factor, which is pretty overrated for anyone who has lived here for more than a few months. With that said, I'd probably go back in the future if I have friend who's visiting from out of town and wants to go to a "cool" place.

Awful food

No, I would not go back!

Style over substance. The food was awful, my sashimi was frozen in the middle, the lobster was bland and the shrimp curry made a ready meal appear tasty. Go for a drink (coconut mojitos are a winner), but make sure you eat beforehand.
