Adorable!! They really sell deserts all hours of the night. Downstairs has live music and $2 PBRs. Worth it!

I went here one afternoon to interview an artist for a magazine and ended up staying a few hours and ordering a sandwich, despite the name Cake Shop. The sandwich was great, but I love sandwiches. The atmosphere was quiet but picked up as the evening progressed.
I love this place

The records & cds (New & Used) selection isn't huge but it's got all the locals, all the awesomest new stuff and a huge selection of great rock, punk, blues, jazz, etc. Their coffee is really good. Not NY's Best but it's up there. They have FREE Wifi. Maybe one of the only places in the LES that does. Lots of seating. Good tunes. Nicest staff ever. And I haven't even started talking about DOWNSTAIRS!!! Live Bands, Comedy nights, Readings, Movies... and a HUGE selection of Beers/Wine/Liquor and really good prices on everything.

Best of New York: Fun & Nightlife
Picnics with a view, roller-skating nostalgia, and a party for gay headbangers.
