Come Kick it at Canal Bar

Canal Bar is one of the greatest joints Park Slope has to offer. It's a comfortable, no frills dive bar with a great vibe. The bar serves well priced drinks, has a good selection of beers on tap and has a slammin' juke box selection. I recently threw my 28th birthday party there and it was friggin' awesome! They made me a personalized "happy birthday" banner and let me create drink specials for my partygoers. They've got a pool table and a nice backyard and the bartenders are the nicest people you'll ever meet. I love this bar - you will love this bar.

I love Canal Bar

I started going to the Canal Bar to reconnect with a bartender friend who started working there. Since then I have made several new friends and have had a laugh riot on many an occasion with some drop dead gorgeous babes. Weeknights can be quiet, perfect for talking over a pail of nips or other drink specials. Tuesday's free pool night brings out some good shooters. The weekend rocks with a great jukebox and small mixed groups of locals stopping in for a few before going home from a night out in Manhattan. The owner and bartenders are exceptionally friendly, remember names, remember favorite drinks and make the best free popcorn in the Gowanus area. The owner has also opened the Crooked Tail Cafe, two doors down, a great place for a tasty panini or pastry with espresso.
