DON'T EVER GO TO THIS PLACE!!!!!!

If I could give this place a negative rating I would. My girlfriend and I were heading into Carnival for her friends birthday. I looked at the website and they said nice sneakers were allowed, so I wore my new nike shox and headed into the city. After paying 40 dollars for LIRR tickets for my girlfriend and I we arrive at the front door and get flak from the bouncers. They would not let me in because I was wearing sneakers. When I explained to them that "their" website stated that sneakers were allowed, the bouncer told me things have changed. After arguing with the two guys, I wanted to speak to the manager, but they would not even contact him because they were being a**holes. I finally called the phone number listed for the bar and talked to the operator where he said the manager "KYLE" would talk to me. I told him my story (very nicely I might add) and he said that it was his discretion and that he could not do anything. When I called him out that it was "his discretion" and he could let me in if he wanted to, he became a total dick and would not let me in. PS kyle was wearing Nazi black military boots not exactly dress shoes. DON'T EVER GO TO THIS PLACE

NYE at Carnival

I wanted to write about my experience at Carnival on New Year's since we found the venue on New York Magazine. My friends and I couldn't have had a better night. Last year we had a major nightmare at one of the nightclubs in the city with the place being overcrowded. We called the Carnival ahead of time since our group was over 25 people. We were told to purchase tickets for the Funhouse since it was more private. We ended up upgrading to a VIP table and we got a discount. The DJ was amazing and our waitress made sure there were enough cups, ice and juices all night. I would definitely recommend this place for parties. Everyone was so accommodating!

Friday night

I had my going away party at Friday at Carnival and was really happy everything ran smoothly. I had roughly 150 people and reserved the entire Funhouse area. The event planner worked out a pricing for the party which surprisingly wasn't too expensive. The waitresses made sure each tables had drinks all night. I'm really glad the party went smoothly.

I decided to have my 23rd birthday at Carnival since it was new. I called up and the event planner was kind enough to show us the place. It was really nice...finally something different in New York. The event planner was nice enough to set us up with a table in the Fun house. The DJ played the typical music (hiphop, 80's and top 40's). Overall Carnival was perfect for my birthday party...all my friends had fun and had no issues getting in.
