I have to admit, as far as critics go.. i am a beast. I am usually ready to cast cynicism and doubt before even crossing the threshold of an establishment i have not yet frequented. HOWEVER, Coco 66 is a bar of quality. This area of Greenpoint is already ludicrously cool, with Coco 66 being a heavy-weight contender for the title. The bar is sort of split into 3 sections; which means there are kind of differing vibes throughout and you can take the night at your own pace. For example, the DJ plays some tunes at the front; there are tables and chairs in the middle section; and the back has a ping pong table/darts board and sofa. The vibe is unpretentious, everybody seems to be having fun, and drinks are cheap. Go now and enjoy, whatever your mood you will find one section to your liking!! In short, i am a fan.
