I love this bar! It may seem out of the way for the lazies who want to just stay on Smith Street, but it's worth the 'trek'. They have a great selection of affordable wines and beers. I really love the house wine. The bartender told me it's from the only organic coop in France, which is really cool. I also love the snacks that I was told the chefs made especially to complement the beer/wine selection: home made beef jerky, beef sliders, great cheese & olive selections and croquettes with a wonderful latin flavor. Also, the cozy space makes it a great place to sit and have a conversation with someone for a while. I wish I lived in that neighborhood so I can call it 'my spot' to go to after a long day at work. Please go!

This Carroll Gardens' wine bar isn't some snooty caricature of a wine bar. A 'green' wine bar sounds pretentious but there's not a drop of pretension at Crave. The service is friendly, informative and genuine. The food was beautiful and quite tasty. First time I went, I happened on their Thursday night special of three appetizers and three wine tastings. I remember that first course I ate deviled quail eggs with goat cheese ricotta and quince paired with a very mellow Chilean red. Needless to say, I've become a regular and have yet to be disappointed.
