Cyn Lounge

  • No, I would not go back!

Cyn Lounge tries too hard to be old Willie-B. It’s dropped the hip hop turn tables for an internet juke box, but kept the acidic attitude. Cheesy "graffiti" covered walls, bouncers complete with standard issue shaved head and attitude to match, laughably generic hip hop undertones, ripped frat house couch, and a musical selection coming from behind the bar that matches the smell coming from the couch. They’re a few bars on Bedford Ave. that haven't yet succumbed to the yuppie wave and regularly draw a full house. What makes Cyn completely unbearable, and regularly half empty on a Saturday night, has to do with the "attitude" from its staff. Customers are bullied and/or berated by the inexperienced and sometimes downright aggressive element that makes up the door and bar staff. Judging by the ample availability of seating on a weekend in this place, their reputation precedes them. Save yourself the headache. If you ever find yourself in the Cyn Lounge, take the sign over the door’s advice and exit ASAP.
