I've been to Donovan's in Queens, Paul's Burgers in the East Village, and I have to say, Daddy-O's has the best burgers in the city. Plus you get awesome tater tots! I never write these reviews, but when I saw all the negatives, the only conclusion I could draw was that some local competitor was trying to sabotage the place and I had to try to alleviate the damage. A glass of wine is a bit pricey, but otherwise food, service, atmosphere is outstanding. Don't believe the haters.

I got excited when I learned of a new hot-spot burger joint in the West Village. This place definately should not be caterized with WV's reputable restaurant list. Although pleasant to the eye, be prepared to eat yesterday's food. Perhaps expectations ride high for this premium burger, but basic fundamentals behind working the grill are definately missing. I would never return.

bad bad bad bad. I would recommend this place to my summer intern manager who made me work 16 hour days on saturdays and sundays.

Probably the worst outting exerience I could have ever imagined. I cannot decide which was worse, the food or the staff...Daddy-O's is an insult to bars and restaurants alike. Burger was not bad so much as it was terrible...When you want to pay $14 for a burger, you would expect something more than burnt piece of homeless man shoe-sole.

Someone call the health inspectors! This place is crawling with infestations.....and that includes the disgusting and appalling staff. I would rather pay $75 for a $3 burger at fatboy! Goatee bartender flipped me off after I mentioned the bathroom sink was missing a knob. Worst experience of 2009. I HATED IT.

There is a bald bartender with a goatee that was completely out of line when I attempted to go to this bar. I went to the bathroom before ordering a drink and he got in my face and started yelling at me telling me I needed to order a drink, at which point I replied that I no longer wanted to order one. He then POINTED A FLASHLIGHT IN MY FACE AND GRABBED ME BY THE ARM TO KICK ME OUT! I am a cute litte girl, and in no way asked for this behavior. In no way do I recommend this bar1

Daddy-O has absolutely the best chicken sandwich and tater tots I've ever had. My boyfriend and I go pretty much every Sunday, and though it's hard to not order that sandwich miracle, recently we've branched out to the chicken tacos and the spaghetti and meatballs. It's all unreal. It's cozy, delicious and the guys who work there are the nicest. Considering the quality of the food (all the ingredients come from stores in the village) and how nice it is to be there, it's the perfect place, and is on my top five list for sure.

One lazy Sunday while wandering the Village we stumbled across Daddy-O. The corner window seat not only allowed us to view the the world ramble by but gave us a chance to study the fully stocked and well presented bar. Service was five star and the breakfast was good size and excellent quality. We believed that Daddy-O would remain our secret to be visited when looking for that lazy, uncluttered escape, but really we can't stop talking about the experience. Do yourself a favour, take the trip and enjoy.

sure its more a bar than a restaurant, but if louis is in the kitchen and you order the daddy-o burger, you'll be eating the best burger in manhattan. period. i got your corner bistro, right here, buddy.
