Atmosphere Great, Staff could be more courteous and professional!!

Yes, I would go back!

Just threw a 30th surprise party there for the BF and coordinated all the details with Dana. The space on the roof is great, we brought in catered food which worked out really great and kept costs on the lower end. The fact that there was no music actually worked in our favor on this particular night because there was so much catching up to do with friends and family. We worked out an all you can drink deal for two hours which incl Absolut, Jack, Cuervo etc... When I got to the party I had to put out fires immediately because the bartender was serving people Popov and well alcohol... EW! Julia fixed the problem and apologized... The following Mon Dana called to follow up. Despite the small miscommunication, the party worked out, they fixed whatever was wrong and most importantly everyone had a great time! GREAT VALUE, GREAT ATMOSPHERE! Thanks!

"lower eastpacking"

Yes, I would go back!

now i know what it means when reviews use the term "lower eastpacking." the delancey was full of attractive people trying to look cool and pushing and shoving each other to get drinks. my friend and i just weren't in the mood for that kind of crowd, so we used the bathroom and left. maybe another night...

do not go to this place

No, I would not go back!

Made a reservation for a group of 15 and specifically asked several times for a larger seating space and was assured we could bring some of our own grilling items. After arriving we were told that "no one" would have ever made the requests that we asked for. When the hostess finally admitted she had made a mistake, management still insisted it was our fault. Do not even waste your time at this place, it smells of old beer, flies are everywhere, and the manager really needs to figure out why he's working there in the first place.

Drinks are Overpriced and in a dixie cup

No, I would not go back!

Went here for a friend's birthday. While the bar was nice looking and the staff was friendly, I was shocked when I ordered a vodka tonic and it was in a dixie cup, then cost $8. I live in New York, but this place is way too expensive on drinks by New York standards. If you are going to go here, you better sneak in your own flask or only plan on buying one or two drinks - it will cost you.

Easiest Party Ever!

Yes, I would go back!

I just had a party for over 100 people on the rooftop at the Delancey last weekend. All I have to say is this: people are still talking about how much fun they had. Everyone stopped me on their way out to tell me what a great party I threw. I got a nubmer of phone calls and emails the next day to congratulate me on a job well done. ...and all I can say is "It was nothing! All I had to do was call up the bar!"

Management Needs Attitude Adjustment

No, I would not go back!

While the rooftop bar is nice with its palm trees and foliage, the management of this place needs to go. What kind of business overbooks several parties on one small rooftop, advertises $4 drinks when they are actually $9, and banishes people from the one spot on the roof with a cool breeze on a hot summer night?! Management wasn't even nice about getting our party to move to a hot, stuffy corner. A rotund little man demanded to know which party we belonged to, said, "No no no you can't be here. Leave." and just waved us away without explaination! The website was a total joke - filled with false advertisements to lure in the unsuspecting - free drinks my @$$! When several of us complained that the website said something different, the management insisted that what's on their web page is not their problem. HELLO!!! It's YOUR web site! It's YOUR responsibility if an advertisement is incorrect. Whatever happened to the customer is always right? Don't advertise $4 drinks before 8PM when you're just going to bait and switch customers with $9 drinks instead!

They'll tell you ANYTHING to get you in the door...

No, I would not go back!

I scheduled a private party here for 30 people to make use of the rooftop deck, which is a great space. While the club is a bit out of the way (almost in Brooklyn!) its worth the walk..or so I thought (read on) The fun ended when we got to the bar. Though the party was for 40, our reserved space consisted of a table with 8 chairs!! Worse yet, I'd been lied to by the bar when they told me happy hour would go between 6-8 PM with $2 domestics and well drinks. I should've known it was too good to be true because once we got there, we were told that drinks were $2 *off* (and still overpriced at that) and that happy hour ended at 7, not 8. When I tried to talk to the woman whom I scheduled the party with, I was told by the bartender she wasn't available. So I called her on my cellphone and she was rude and dismissive. On top of that, the bartenders generally have a bad attitude and put a damper on what should've been a fine evening. In sum: take your private party somewhere else!
