I love a loud and lively bar, but this place leans heavily towards the loud and obnoxious - setting and clientele. It's pretty similar to the other bars along upper Avenue A. Heathers, around the corner on E 13th, is a much better place, with a more focused selection of beers, and great music. Same for the nearby 11th St. Bar, which is always a gem.

Found this place on a sleepy saturday afternoon.Nice surprise. Excellent choice of Brews. I think 25 plus on Tap alone.Best Pint of Guinness i've had in ages and actually served in a proper 20 ounce Guinness pint glass. The happy hour deal was great (half price until 8pm )$3 a pint for really quality beer. Laid back vibe with good tunes and friendly service. The happy hour crowd is definitely a local crowd but that changed later on when a livelier younger crew started coming in.

Went to this bar for happy hour on a Thursday. Was very pleased with the variety and quality of beers on tap. The bar had a comfortable feel and laid back clientele, and Half-Off? I was in heaven. When I received the un-itemized bill however, it was 50% more than expected. Upon asking for an explanation, the bartender was astonishingly rude and condescending. Apparently, the "Half off drinks" deal does not apply to Belgian beers and "most people who drink Belgian beers know that they are expensive." Furthermore, I was not informed of this policy as "most of our customers are regulars and know that the Belgian beers are not half off." I should have known that a $4 Delerium was too good to be true. But a simple apology for the confusion would have gone a long way.

Went to Drop Off Service a few times during my 10 day stay in the city. On a Monday night it was quiet and intimate, a Friday Night - it was loud and raucous. Such a great place with great staff, sitting areas and of course beer. This is a MUST in the East Village...

Absolutely in love with this low-key spot that features tons of (oft changing) beers on tap and a great wine selection, as well as service that cannot be beat! The bartenders are sweet, lovely women who could also probably beat your ass if needed. Definitely not a frat/collegiate bar, though the patrons range in age from 20s to late 50s and up. My only qualm? You have to wait forever to hear your song on the jukebox on a busy night!

Having recently moved to the neighbourhood, I had no hesitations in calling this my new "local". Due to its location Drop Off Service is obviously best enjoyed on a week night, where at happy hour you can sit back and sample some fine beers. To top it all the bar boasts a jukebox selection which could have been inspired by my own record collection. Steely Dan's greatest hits is disc number one - what more could anyone ask for?

Luckily, my first experience was one of those "loud frat nights"-saturday night in an east village bar that close to stuyvesant town its a bit of a given. It was a friends birthday party and even at capacity the drinks came fast and the service was great, the bartender even rang a bell inciting the bar to scream for my friend. I go back often for the HH, its my new offiicial HH date spot(sorry, spotted pig) and luckily I don't have to meet with clients.

I discovered this bar by accident.I needed a place to do my laundry and it said drop off service on the window. It's no longer a laundromat but a really warm and inviting bar with an incredible beer selection and a killer juke box.I even tried real cask beer there"just like they serve it in England" according to the bartender. The happy hour deal was one of the best i've ever experienced.Half off everything until 8pm.The bartenders were really attentive and seemed to know everybody.I didn't do my laundry that day.I stayed late and as the place filled up I noticed that the crowd was a good looking and unpretentious mid to late twenties crowd who knew how to drink without acting like complete idiots. It's refreshing to go to a bar that attracts just as many girls as guys !Well done DOS !
