Reporting them to the BBB!! Went there a few days ago and the place was nice, good music. However, I bought three drinks and the bartender insisted i keep a tab open and he would hold on to my credit card. I went back at the end of the night to close my tab and signed the bill for $36. Then I looked at my bank account a few days later and saw that they charged me $100!! I called up to speak to a manager and the girl that answered was very rude to me for no reason and said I may not speak to a manger and no one was there. She said they put a cap on purchases. I told her I was not told this and she said they dont tell anyone that is just the way it is there! WTF!@!# This is outrageous and illegal and I am going to report this place to the BBB!! I have talked to a few other friends and the same thing to them!! Horrible service!!

Why is this place still open? We unfortunately went here for the 2008 New Year's Party. We bought our New Year's Party tickets - doors were supposed to open at 8, drinks and a buffet were supposed to be included. However, in order to avoid serving drinks, doors didn't open until 10:30, which left us standing in below freezing temp in heels and little dresses wondering if we would even get in before midnight. Once inside, we decided the buffet was in order to help shake off the frost bite. There was no buffet. There was no food at all except for a tray of pigs in a blanket...seriously - PIGS IN A BLANKET!!! EWWW! As for drinks, if you ordered ANYTHING besides a G&T, the bartenders would simply ignore you...that is if you could even manage to fight your way through the six people deep line up to the bar to order. It was THE worst way to start 2008 - freezing, starving and fighting for our drinks. This place is using false advertisement to lure in customers.

Worst service ever! The waitress was rude and the manager was even worse. We were also wrongly charged 20% gratuity on a service that was less than sub par. When we pointed this out to the manager, he was rude and argumentative. Also my friend who does not eat pork, was served bacon in a dish that was supposed to have been duck. Instead of simply apologizing for this, the manager put us down--saying that bacon bits are to be expected in any sauce served in an "upscale" restuarant. He was pretty much implying that we haven't been in an upscale resturant before. First of all, this place was hardly "upscale." The decor was so-so and the food was so-so. Besides, we were four physician New Yorkers who have been in places much better than this. Skip this place--definitely not worth it. Although we had money--even if the manager didn't think we did--we left them a dime for their services.

Read the other reviews and these people couldnt be further from what actually goes on there. Go for dinner, stay for the nitelife, go with a big party and have a good time. Lighting, atmosphere, beds, the other reveiws should have taken a nap, they seem cranky. Go on a saturday night, buy a bottle and watch the excitment.

Yes, they make u wait to get in, yes, they card, yes, they add 20% gratuity to drinks bought at the bar, yes, everyone is 16 and from jersey, yes, the hostess/waitstaff/bartender sucked at hospitality, yes, the musc was old. there was no dance floor (for a place u pay $30 cover to get, there should be one). no jellyfish. no pear margaritas (supposed specialty). no sign of sophisication. duvet in two words: overpriced and underaged.

WARNING: Bartenders shady! Be careful about starting a tab. I was over charged for drinks I did not order, bill came out to double what it should have been. I suspected a scam after the bar manager, Adem, absolutely refused to fix the bill. I did not sign my tab and later learned that the bartender forged my signature tipping himself $20 extra dollars. My credit card company is pursuing a fraud claim.

I went to Duvet for New Years with some friends. We met hott guys, though there were a few older creepy men wandering around too. But besides that, the bar/club is HOTT. The people are hott, the music is hott, the whole atmosphere is hott. Pricewise, I don't know (a friend insisted on paying for all of us). Duvet was an awesome place to meet people and sit on the beds and mingle.
