How can you expect to go out with your friend and have a good time when you have the Gestapo monitoring your every move. You feel like you are living in Germany around 1934. Save your money and don't bother with the Eagle. It is a very sad place.

Just an awful place, the drinks are watered down horribly, the staff are just plain rude and the guys I saw there just stood in corners not talking, staring straight ahead. It's not a cruisy joint, in fact the atmosphere is very feminine, pounding Donna Summer type music and old leather queens shimmying in badly fitting harnesses. No back room at all (I looked). There's a roof for smoking that is nice. The big fetish scene is a chair where some guy does shoe-shines for guys wearing boots. A pool table at one end is actually a prop, there are no balls or cues. Don't these guys ever go to straight bars? If they did they'd realize what a wierd museum piece they've created.

Went for the first time in a few mths and saw that they were still hot guys hot bartendars and the place was hopping. The dj was great and I will def have to go back tommorrow. This place can def be my reg bar. And even though I wasnt in leather I was welcomed by all it seemed. There were alot of leather and non leather guys all having fun. Cant wait until summer and the roof is open.

Best of New York: Fun & Nightlife
Picnics with a view, roller-skating nostalgia, and a party for gay headbangers.
