Let me begin by saying that I went here a few weeks ago and had a lovely hot toddy by a guy that "loves hot toddies." It was good enough and his vibe was pleasant enough and the bar was chill enough for me to want to return. In fact, all of that motivated me enough to trudge 12 blocks in the rain to the bar tonight. (Some may read this and think, "Boo hoo. You got rained on. Get over it.") Look, I wasn't expecting "Hail the Conquering Hero" to be played on cue as I crossed the threshold, but I also wasn't expecting what transpired.
Picnics with a view, roller-skating nostalgia, and a party for gay headbangers.
