Terrible Place

I had been going here for years. The Owner (not Annika, but some very tall blond hulk who one of the waiters told us was the actual owner) is a terrible human being and seems to enjoy shoving his patrons to the ground. My friend had the unfortunate bad luck to run across him and thus got shoved to the ground and split his head open on a steel table base. The owner was too drunk to recognize what he had done and would not bother to apologize. GO AT YOUR OWN RISK. Aside from this, it used to be a cool place but the food is mediocre as it has always been and the crowd less interesting these days. Would rather hit other establishments.

Avoid at all costs

Overcharged my credit card by 2X. After leaving numerous messages, I finally got in touch with a manager named Anna. She apologized and promised me a credit on my card. Never followed through. Thou shall not steal from your customers.

Great food great atmosphere

We had a brillant night at the Good World. Staff were very friendly and attentive. Food was excellent, the best meal I had whilst visiting New York. Would definately go back.

If you want to waste your time seeing a belligerent drunken owner lash out at his staff and the public in general then come to this place. The owners have no class and deserve no respect, they do not treat their employees well and no one should give patronage to ungrateful people such as these.

One of the best bar/restaurants in NYC

Simply put, this is one of the top spots in NYC for great drinks and food, all very reasonably priced. Annika, the proprietor of Good World has created a fabulous of combination of Swedish restaurant/Hip bar/Cool Lounge. The groovy location only adds to the specialness of this place. So go get some herring, meatballs, and other delicacies from Sweden and chase it all down with their signature cocktail - The Good World. Right on.

Worst Service Ever

After dinner I wanted to bring my friends to this Good World Bar to have an enjoyable night. Worst mistake! We went inside and to the back, lady ask us move to the front (bar) b/c they are still serving dinner, that's fine. Then the bartender kept on harassing us to get drinks. We got a drink. Then she ask to order more or move away from the bar. Not recommended to go.
