i love to come here to draw or study and have a cheap glass of beer. it's usually pretty empty on weeknights, so you can find plenty of space. jukebox is amazing, but usually too quiet to hear. the bartenders have always been very nice to me and my friends, probably because we're polite and tip well. weekend nights are pretty crowded and loud with annoying people ("bro" types who for some reason need to yell everything, and "chicks" with high-pitched voices...maybe fun for some people but not for me when i'm just trying to relax...). i've been coming here since i moved to new york because it just feels very "homey" to me, and the beer is so cheap. bathrooms are fairly nasty but i feel like bars aren't "real" bars without the nasty bathroom :)

One of the last local bars in the neighborhood. No yuppies. The best part: Tourists take a look inside and head for the hills!

favorite place! cheap drinks, decent crowd, and $1 popcorn!

Good dive, cheap beer, good atmosphere, $1 popcorn. Nice darts section. Awsome juke box, but always to low to hear. The other thing is the bartenders have a chip on there shoulder, especially that tall big nosed guy. Just ignore him.
Picnics with a view, roller-skating nostalgia, and a party for gay headbangers.
