Echoing everything above posters said except for the DJ on Saturday night, Johnny. Terrible house music with some random rap and pop. Childish laser light show. Felt like a Long Island identity crises. The crowd felt like spillovers fron the nearby clubs or pregamers. Nobody was dancing. Don't know why it's so hard to keep the hard pumping EDM to those who know and to the clubs. I would not go back if they're playing this.

I held a 30-person happy hour on a Friday night and it couldn't have been better. We reserved (for free!) the private "cabin" in the back, which is perhaps one of the coolest rooms in NYC. The bartenders were some of the nicest, most accommodating people I've met in the city...and I throw a ton of parties, so I know what I'm talking about. I will absolutely be back at Gstaad!!

Gstaad is a pleasant surprise. I was thinking it was going to be simply a stop on my way out but it wound up being a great time and I spent most of my night there (and several nights there after). The ceilings are very tall with great lighting and a cool projection screen with images of people doing ridiculous skiing. There are seats scattered around the bar and had no problem getting a seat. The drinks are great, reasonably priced and they aren't watered down. There is no line to get in and you never have to wait long to get a drink. It was a great night out and I would definitely recommend going!

Best of New York: Fun & Nightlife
Cocktails at the movies, a Monday-night bacchanal, and a great rookie-rap show.
