******************The Heights IS NOT A SAFE PLACE FOR WOMEN.******************
By PickieEater on 4/14/2013
It used to be one of my favorite hangout places in the area. One manager changed my opinion of the place. He kept making over-sexualized comments to me and would intervene when I was speaking with male customers as if he didn't want me speaking to other people. He asked me one night if he could take me in the bathroom and do sexual things to me and even "joked" about wanting a threesome with myself and one of the female bartenders. I find this kind of unprofessionalism unacceptable and I tried to reach out to ownership a dozen times to complain and correct the problem but they seem non-plussed and never responded as if they approved of this conduct. Overall this place seems like a kindergarten on Viagra. If you are a young college-age male this is your Animal House. If you are a female don't expect to be treated with respect here.
Best place for lunch

Trying to find a good fast place (that is not fast food) near Columbia is not easy... we stumbled upon the heights (its on the 2nd floor so make sure to look up) for a quick bite to eat...They had a 6.50 lunch sign that brought us in and did not disapoint.... The place was relatively busy (which is a good sign) and the staff was nice... We ordered off the lunch menu.. I got a chicken burrito (which was huge) and my friend got a stuffed steak taco(which was delicious)... I have to say that it was less than 10 minutes from the time we sat down to our food being served..Very fast and friendly.. after tax and tip out meal was still under $10...Good times!
