This past Saturday, Feb, 9th at about 6 p.m., we walked in to H & H on a whim!! There were six of us & lets just say the crowd more than doubled when we walked in!! Almost immediately one of my friends was verbally abused by a female bartender who appeared to be under the influence herself!! She was belligerent, insulting & relentless which created a humiliating situation that was uncalled for!! Needless to say we didn't finish our drink before we escaped the rudeness!!!

I find it interesting that all the comments of this place are negative. NOT! I believe either the bartender is the owner; the owner doesn't care about making money, or possibly both. However, I can't imagine a person like that could own an establishment nor have a job so maybe she is the owner. HAHA! I truly think they pick and choose their clientele and we didn't look the trash..I mean the part. The establishment was fairly crowded when we walked in but this place is the size of my closet but anyway, we made towards the bar for a drink. Horrible service and of course, Mrs. Rudeness was being her normal rude self according to the options of everyone else here. She first worked on the crowd behind us which cleared out quickly. Then she zoned in on me. I played her game for a short while and when she became rude, I did too. Funny, she can give it but boy she can't take it. I think in a minute flat it went from 40 people to six. As someone already said, we gave our hundreds of dollars to some else down the street. Had a GREAT time in NYC and though this one vapor of the evening was not pleasant, I had the time of my life and she, Mrs. Rudeness was just enough of a memory for me to pass on the word to all my friends, family and well, even strangers to not step foot in to this bar. Oh and by the way, it's no where near a Coyote Ugly experience...LOL! What a joke! I'm still trying to figure out if she's the Hog or the Heifer!

I am writing this review regarding a visit to this bar in August 2010. Me and my mate went to a few bars in the meat packing district and found them very soulless and expensive. We found Hogs and Heifers by accident, the bouncer gave us a big cheeky smile as he opened the door to a bar full of people singing dancing and a great atmosphere. As we entered I went to take a photo of the bar as it had many crazy items attatched to it, the bartener then turned the music down and through a megaphone she proceeded to yell at me to put my f###ing camers away and get out unless l was buying a drink!!! I played her at her own game and took a photo of her; then opened the door and took one of the bouncer. All done with a smile on my face. This lead to free drinks off the barmaid and bouncer. We had a great time, yes the place has its own style, you gotta learn to leave your ego at home be prepared to take the piss out of yourself. The staff took great care of us 2 Brits!!! Defo going back this year to check it out again. Just hope the same sassy staff are there to greet us in their own unique style.

When I walked in on a Friday afternoon, the bartender asked what I wanted. When I said I was waiting for friends, she said, quote, "Oh no you're not, you're either filling my till or you're out the door." I told her I loved her too, met my friends on the sidewalk minutes later, walked to a bar around the corner and filled its till with $200 worth of drinks. Moral of the story?

Stopped in with a friend, admittedly not long before last call, but last call should mean typical service, right? Well, ordered two shots of tequila from the very stoic woman behind the bar. Two shots were presented; asked, "Can we get salt and limes?" "No." "Really? No?" "No." A couple minutes later: "Can we get a glass of water?" "No." I said, "Are these words coming out of your mouth?" "Yes." What. A. Bitch. Forget the hype of this craptacular bar, I will never go back.

I just happened to walk by this place on my way to an event. Having heard a bout it, I decided to check it out. The first 5 seconds I was there, without hestitation the chick bartender starts basically screaming at me to basically order a drink now or get the !@#$ out! So why exactly would I want to order a drink and then care to stay when treated like that? In my entire adult life, having been to quite a few bars and restaurants, not to mention having worked as a bartender on many occasion, I have never witnessed anything as evil as this bartender. Stay away is my sincere advise!

If it looks like a shit hole, sounds like a shit hole and smells like a shit hole, guess what.....it is a SHIT HOLE. What a joke this place is, my friends and I went to have a great time in New York, unfortunalty we went to this place. We were charged $10 at the door and were told that Pabt Blue were $2 and shooters were $6. We went to get 4 beers and were then asked what we were shooting with it. We told her we just wanted the beers for now and she proceeded to get on the blow horn and called us pussies amoung other vulgar comments. She then told us thats how we drink in America if you don't like it get out. From the rest of the comments I am glad we did not stay or give any money to that bitch of a bartender. What kind of business turns away paying cutomers, one that hopefully will not be in business much longer.

Just been there last week and the bartender treated me like shit, it was my 1st time there ever and for sure it was the last one as well. I had only $ 20 and went in. They didnīt charged me to get in. I went immediately to the bar, asked for a simple beer, she said it was $2 only. I gave her $20 but the stupid bartender took forever to bring me, I dunno if it was the owner or not, I dont care, I just asked for a beer and it took forever... and when I asked about my change she got a megaphone and started to yell at me swearing me in a kind of attittude more like a show off to all other people telling me with this exactly words: "hey, cheap head !! get the fuck out and thanks for the huge tip !!" I was like wtf ... where is my money you bitch ?? then the bouncer , a big guy, threatened me and almost threw me out of the place, but fortunely I managed to get out myself before he could do so.
