Coming back to New York several times a year from Seattle, it's great to see the Kettle still the Kettle. In its third incarnation on Christopher St. now, its great to see its spirit has travelled with it. Patrick, Adria, Warren, Rob, Terry, and others have done a great job keeping that spirit always healthy. All salutes to my favorite NYC watering hole and its rad staff!!!!!

As a regular customer at the Kettle of Fish, I would agree with most of your description. However, your comment concerning the students who would "go either way--depending on how much Sixpoint ale they've downed" is absurd. Better put, as the owner likes to say "the Kettle of Fish is friendly" regardless of sexual preference or otherwise. The Kettle of fish is a great place to grab a beer or spend the evening no matter who you are. -- Jason W

Best of New York: Fun & Nightlife
Picnics with a view, roller-skating nostalgia, and a party for gay headbangers.
