When did the Knitting Factory decide that it was Roseland? The people who work the door are among the meanest, haggiest, and rudest I'v ever encountered. Maybe the Community Board is putting pressure on the Knit to deal with the spillout street noise, but the prospect of dealing with these overbearing lunkheads is now officially a deterrent from seeing a show at the Knit. The bulding is one of the worst-designed for foot traffic, EVER. If you don't mind being squashed up against angry, dour hipsters out front, you will probably be rewarded with a good show inside. It wouldn't kill the staff could stand to remember what it's like to smile every now and again, though. Despite all this, a fun place to have a beer and see some Hungarian klezmer emo-core... occasionally.
