Great place to go if you want to get hassled and ripped off
By LES_OD on 11/17/2010
The bouncer said that the women in our group wouldn't need to pay a cover, but the men would. We agreed on the price and went inside. Then another bouncer told us that we were required to check all of our jackets and bags. The bouncer out front hadn't told us this and since the price of checking a bag was the same as the cover, this meant that the price of just walking into this bar more than doubled. Not only that, but they required us to pay separately for each bag and each coat. This wouldn't have been a problem had they explained this out front. But they were very rude explaining their policy about bags in the club. A few of us had bags which we didn't want to check (the bags had wallets...phones...etc.) and they gave us a hard time about that. They refused to give us our money back or let us check out the club before we paid for the coat check. This could have all been avoided had the bouncer explained this out front instead of saying "all you have to pay is the cover for the guys, the women are free." Kush made an active choice to deceive its patrons by luring them in with a very low cover charge. The woman in the coat check was very nice though. The music was ok and the decor was tastefully tacky. The drinks were overpriced and took forever to obtain since the bartender was great at ignoring.
RIP OFF ON BILLING, ABUSIVE GM TIM, POOR SERVICE
By MonkishMallard on 3/20/2010
I have never been so ripped off and abused by a lounge in my life! The place COMPLETELY RIPPED US OFF on the bill charging unjustified gratuity and charging us an amount that was not previously discussed when we booked our party there. We politely objected to the bill and the GM Tim came out and VERBALLY ABUSED & THREATENED us before even asking what the issue was. The GM Tim is a complete snake and will lure you in with a 2 for 1 deal on bottles on a Friday which sounds great, but DO NOT BE FOOLED, YOU WILL PAY FOR IT!
