I love Lit Lounge. It's exactly what you expect it to be... a real dive. There is no sign advertising its presence, the floor is dirty, the lights are crazy dim (ironic to name it "Lit" when it is one of the more poorly lit establishments I've set foot in), and it acts as a cut-through to some kind of design studio, located in the back. The bathrooms are gross, but punk-rock gross, so it's a little more tolerable with the kitsch. Overall I don't remember cocktails being terribly cheap or pricey (somewhere in the middle for New York) but I went on a Thursday and they had an AWESOME special on beer... ANY beer for $3 or $4 (I forget), which you can't beat. Also, it was fairly empty and there wasn't live music until later on the night I went, but I checked the calendar the next day and they've got some rad acts that come through their doors. I recommend Lit enthusiastically, it's a great place to get drunk.
