noise ruins "nestle" on "unassuming stretch"

  • No, I would not go back!

I live on the "unassuming stretch" where this bar is "nestled" in East Williamsburg, and this bar creates a nuisance and seems to be doing everything it can to ruin what was an "unassuming" lovely, artistic but quiet and peaceful neighborhood. The back courtyard of LP & Harmony is, in fact, square in the middle of backyards and building courtyards. The owners are either oblivious to, or unconcerned with the fact that the noise blaring from the bar ruins the peace and quiet of everyone else living on the block behind it, including kids, elderly, working people, everyone. Several nights a week, when I am home, trying to read or write or relax alone or with friends, blaring loud music fills my apartment every time someone opens the back door of this bar. Even during the day, loud drunk patrons engage in boisterous conversations and, across the back way, I can hear every word whether I want to or not. I hope the owners read this and do something. The attitude the one or two times I've tried to talk to them seems to be that they feel it's our job to just live with it, like they have a right to make it impossible for the rest of us to enjoy quiet in our own homes. Until they fix this problem, please don't go to this bar and sit in the back screaming and opening and closing the door, wafting the loud music over what was once an "unassuming stretch" where serene homes were "nestled."
