I've entered this bar by skipping the line as a VIP. Overall, the design of the club is mediocre, the DJs and the music is outdated, the place is very crowded. If this is the so-called number 1 club in NYC, then it's a shame on NYC's nightlife. I don't know what else I could write on this, nothing really caught me.

If you really feel you must go out, and you want to make sure that there will be people there, go to Marquee. If you go through the week and you're a model, be prepared to say no to a lot of drunk playboys, because there seems to be an aweful lot of men waiting to cut you off in the club's intersections. On nights like Friday and Saturday, you can find refuge amoungst the beautiful people, but it's one of those clubs that's so big and crowded that you should be more worried about not losing your friends in a tangle of lines at the bar or restroom, or wandering around in the dark upstair interior. Marquee has a reddish ambience and wide-open feeling. It's kind of like a bad dream with a sinister undertone, because you can't see past the wall of people, it's so huge, and the hazy scarlet light makes you feel like something is wrong.

Marquee is still going strong! The music is great, the crowd is always beautiful and interesting, and I keep coming back for more -- this has been my favorite spot for almost two years now. I can't help but notice that almost all of the bad reviews are by people who didn't get in -- don't let them deter you from seeing what this club is like on the inside!

These people who work at the door are just awful people!

I understand if a lot of high-end clubs require you to be on their guest lists but I have never been treated like I was nothing just because I was not a celebrity by these people at the front door at Marquee, who think that they are so in power. It was 3 am and my friends were inside Marquee and these people at the door for no reasons wouldn't let me in and not only that they were so rude to me because I have an accent in my speaking. I had gotten in once to this place and this place is really not a big deal! More other places are a lot better, bigger and nicer! I was a customer and I would have made business by buying drinks at this place which I had done at my first time there but these people at the front door had intentionally humiliated me, especially the black guy with braided hair! I DON'T RECOMMEND THIS PLACE! NO FUN!

Went to this place last Saturday after going to Cain and NA on Thursday and Friday! This was the best! Easy! Great and quick service in the bars, great music and ambience and most importantly fabulous girls! This place made me understand NY is the world's premier party city! London - bye, bye!!

If you want to be cursed at,c 'est a dire te faire insulter, by the doormen. If you like to feel that your money is not welcomed but that the little dealer is. If you like the doormen loosers friends have a seat because they are cool with jeans full of holes and funny hair cuts. If you want to stand up looking at those "powerfull" people not a penny in the pocket play the stars because they are on drugs and fashionable. You found the place to have no fun, where the doormen and staff will insult you because you are the stupid who paid $25. Club pretending being fashionable with no class, no money people inside, low key dress code. Laurence concierge at a Hotel Palace... ....Un club de merde Quoi!!! Thank god cielo, cobrar etc...still there

i absolutely love this place! great for a night out with the girls or an intimate night with a mate. there are three distinct party areas that are simply genius. the red room, my fav, is great for more intimate gatherings. whoever designed this place knew what they were doing!

Great spot for dancing on very tight dance floor while looking up at amazing disco chandelier...best to go with someone who has an "IN" because lines are long and treacherous.
Picnics with a view, roller-skating nostalgia, and a party for gay headbangers.
