Sadly, I concur with the above reviewer. I once enjoyed seeing shows there but the venue's aesthetic has been in steady decline for some time. The sound man was god awful at the last show I attended.

This place is overrated. Staff is really rude, expensive drinks are served by bartenders with attitudes and the corporate air that has landed over this establishment now overshadows anything cool that went on there in prior years. Not a place I ever look forward to entering. Luckily, the majority of interesting acts are now choosing to play elsewhere. Time for something new.

Best of New York: Fun & Nightlife
Picnics with a view, roller-skating nostalgia, and a party for gay headbangers.
