Horrible crowd, service, and space. I was at the bar and asked for a scotch on the rocks. The bartender literally gave me two drops of scotch and the rest was water. The MezzanineÂ’s ceilings were so low I had to duck my head. Not impressed, at all.

Movida is a great space that doesn't need to try too hard. The crowd is cool, attractive, and easy going! The drinks are great and the music is perfect. The bi-level club gives you the option of hanging low in the basement or dancing on the top floor. Either way it's a great time that brings in a crowd purely by word of mouth. How many places can you really say that about in NYC anymore?

I went to Movida for my birthday party on Wednesday and it was rockin'. The nautical theme made this venue one of the most original and fun places to be in New York in a long time. For such a hot venue, I was surprised at the lack of attitude. This is definitely a place that was made for the music and not the scene. In fact, I met some ladies from this past Winter Music Conference in Miami and we reconnected over some drinks and grooving tunes. Thanks Swamy for making this musical oasis.

Went this past Sat (7/30) for a birthday. Door was a little tough but after we got inside I realized that it ain't a big spot (maybe 300 people??), so it made sense that they thin the heard at the door. Apparently some famous musician was the DJ that night-?? At least that's what I was told. Good looking crowd...nice mix... lots of girls...drinks seemed a bit expensive...confusing bathroom set-up..an overall decent vibe. I'd go back.
