I love this space and the general vibe of the bar. The problem is the bar staff. They are always grumpy and a little "too cool for school". They are like wannabe hipsters that couldn't land a job in williamsburg and they are NOT HAPPY about it!

this is my favorite dive bar. Friendly staff (Christian and John are awesome), the drinks are cheap, the Jukebox has awesome music on it, and there are cute guys that go there. Tuesdays, Fridays and Saturday nights get a really good crowd.

if you're over the Chelsea boys, the cookie-cutter gays which infest nearly all gay bars in Manhattan, this is a great place to come be yourself, in an pub style setting that doesn't look like 'every other gay mecca' or something off the Nostromo. If you're going to come here looking all Johnny Weir'ish or have an agenda, perhaps NoWhere is not for you. I'm glad its rarely busy. I can go their without any intentions, have a few drinks, play some songs & be left alone. I don't go out to pick up men, I go to have a decent time, with good conversation with a bartender that has a pulse, and can hold a conversation. If 'Project Runway' is more your thing and you walk in with a boa on and want to glitter the floor, there are many options in the city, and NoWhere isn't one of them. Rock on.

Great place to meet people who impress more with their heads than their dress. Not for Chelsea Queens.

Without a doubt the friendliest bar I've been to in NYC. Everyone was cute too. The drinks aren't the largest I've seen but they sure are strong. This is a bar that I'll visit over and over again.

this place has a really nice low-key setting with a killer juke box and dark lighting. i just went for the first time tonight with a friend and had a wonderful time. it was totally the right environment for "catching up". the juke box has new music if you want to test the album before you buy it (aka new sonic youth- totally ripped). the bartender was cute and really nice and made stiff drinks. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Best of New York: Fun & Nightlife
Picnics with a view, roller-skating nostalgia, and a party for gay headbangers.
