Sandwiched between trend of the neighborhood, gone in a flash-is a decidedly not trendy bar and grill which trounces the competition on several levels. 1. The people who work there are wonderful! 2. The Hamburgers are the best in the city. 3. You won't see anyone you know there. (and that's why I go)

"Hey, a new lounge opened in Tribeca, come with?" "No!!!" I don't want to go to SissyTown... Take me to the Old Town instead. Long bar, high tin celings, wooden booths, endless mirrors & brass. Not to mention, the urinals that dreams are made of. The bar was made the way bars were supposed to be made. Larger than life, so you can escape in it's nooks. Take me to Old Town...Old New York, Real New york. Go out in New Yowk & have a burger, have a beer, help preserve what's right in the city or you can go out in a place called SissyTown & drink daffodil martinis in Magenta glasses. Sincerely, Fo' Real

I don't have the same tolerance for cigarette smoke that I once did, so I don't enjoy the Old Town as much as I'd like to. The Metro review pretty well sums the place up, 'specially that Sunday beer, no problem part. There's always great energy and a sort of warm buzz about the room, and I just get that 'wouldn't rather be anywhere else in the world right now' sort of feeling. Looking forward to this place being smoke free.
