The open mic atmosphere was nice, good performers. Decent prices on the beers. Only Guiness and Bud and a few select bottles.

$5 Guinness during happy hour, which runs from 11am-7pm. I frequent this place after work. It's usually quiet, and fortunately the bartenders are friendly and they'll throw on ESPN or the jukebox to get some noise in there. It's a dive, but that itself adds to the charm. Not to forget, it's named after one of the greatest Irish balladeers.

This place used to be a gem, now it's just another overpriced Manhattan pub without any charm. In its hayday, I never minded paying the cover charge because the bands were good and the pints reasonably priced. But after my last visit, none of this rings true. A 5 dollar cover 3 hours before the band goes on and 7 dollar pints will have you bankrupt even before the band shows up. Also, on my last visit I noticed there wasn't a lot of people there which means other people feel the same way I do. The place used to get packed and was always fun. There wasn't even one person in the back room. I am sad to say that I will never return to Paddy Reilly's, but I will keep the good memories of how the place used to be.
