I always have a great time at Pianos!
By TYorke on 8/7/2008
I live in the neighborhood and came across Pianos a couple of years back. If I want to go out but I'm not sure where to go, I know I can always hit up Pianos. Great music, casual atmosphere, friendly staff, reasonably priced drinks, incredible burgers (try the red wine burger!) and it's an easy place to meet people. It's just $8 or $10 to see a whole night's worth of live music (great deal!) and there is no cover charge if all you want to do is hang out in the front room and have some drinks. If it's crowded, you can always go upstairs to the lounge and catch the DJ d'jour. Next time you're in the LES and are looking for a great place to go, definitely hit up Pianos.

Long Island Iced Tea
By Arpenney on 9/26/2008
The bouncer was friendly, the place was crowded but fun, the DJ was so great, and the long island iced teas were to die for... plus, if you want a change of scenery, you just have to walk 4 feet to the next bar.
Birthday Celebration Gone Wrong - Thanks to Incompetent Bouncers/ Door Guys
By leonardo_800 on 2/10/2014
Shortly after 11 pm, as more than 20 of my friends were already inside, a few more of my guests told me they had to wait in line after arriving. To keep them company, I went outside for a moment. This is where problems began. Despite only being out for 15 mins (at most), upon attempting to go back in, the "manager" informed me I must wait in line (even though I was already stamped). I politely told him I was already inside previously, that I was celebrating my birthday inside, and had friends waiting for me in there. The "manager" had the audacity to say "it's everyone's birthday today - call them and have them come outside", insinuating I was lying. Despite me insisting that I was already inside, waving at my friends in the venue, displaying my stamp, and offering to show my ID that it was in fact my birthday, the door guys continued being rude and unprofessional. This enraged me and I told them that if I were to have people come outside, it would be for everyone to leave. The "manager" showed no consideration for this, asking if I was "threatening him with that comment", by which I had enough and proceeded to call everyone to leave, letting them know the door guys were being $&@holes. Despite my attempts to keep the conversation civil, the "manager" and bouncer rose their voices and completely blew the situation out of proportion. I can assure you I will never come back to this establishment and will negatively recommend my experience to my entire social group. STAY AWAY!
