Discriminate-(verb) To make an unjust distinction in the treatment of different categories of people, especially on the grounds of race sex or age. If you want to be treated unfairly without any reason then this is the place to go. If "Pink Elephant" is plan A and you're NOT a size 2 and your hair is not straight then perhaps you need a plan B. If you like verbal abuse from the men who work there then I suggest you attend the "Pink Elephant." If the owner comes over to the line and talks to you, then you're NOT getting in. That's their secret code. I would NEVER go back to the "PInk Elephant" ever in life. I wouldn't even drive down W27th and 11 ave. I wouldn't even walk my dog on that side of the street. They should change their names from "Pink Elephant" to "RACIST PIGS."

The management and staff of Pink Elephant Southampton are shallow, superficial creeps. They wouldn't let our friend enter the club on Memorial Day weekend because she was "too fat." That left her in tears. Meanwhile, the front door is staffed by several men who are 40 plus pounds overweight. If misogyny and hypocrisy are your bag this is the place.

I made reservations two weeks in advance for my girlfriends birthday party. They quoted me a price of $800 min per table and when I got there with all my guests they switched the price to 2500 a table. Furthermore, when I asked the doorman for some courtesy he said "your spending $2,500 and we didnÂ’t even shake hands or anything" he actually asked for a kickback. This place is totally unprofessional and it isnÂ’t even that nice. Waist of money. I should have gone to the Bahamas for a weekend.. would have cost me less and i wouldnt have to deal with a rude short bald guy with a purple tie.

I fly in to NY and Pink is my first choice for a meeting place. If you are dressed up and want a dressed to impress crowd, not TOO young, so you can have an intelligent conversation...go there. I'm never there at 2 AM..so I don't know who the bouncers are keeping out, if anyone. We always get in..no big wait. Go earlier..at 9 or 10 after a show...you'll get in.

Pink is a Great club to meet new friends...& for afterwork business meetups

We just went to a great afterwork party and Pink is beautiful. The house music was just right for conversation and the crowd was a classy social mix... very nice, polite, interesting, funny people. Well dressed. I worried because other reviews said how hard it was to get in. We had tickets.... Pink hosts these really upscale fundraisers sometimes... if you can get invited...I'd say go. Manhattanpromotions does them. There are lots of bars where you can feel really uncomfortable, Pink Elephant is a great place. Later in the night we were dancing, too. and the night owls started coming at 11. It was hard to leave as the party ramped up even more.

6 months ago, I was giving Pink a 7 with the following comment: Pros: Nice, "clean" crowd, great effects, good atmosphere, great decor. Cons: Music is too loud, cant forget your ID. After going back recently, I have to downgrade Pink to 4. Not only music was still too loud but I found the staff at the door (not inside) ungracious and the ratio of guys was much too high. That was probably my last time at Pink, unless theres some kind of special event there.

I heard quite a bit about this bar and was very excited when I went there for my friends bachelorette party. After waiting for 1/2 hr and hearing rude comments from the bouncer we went inside and the place was pretty much empty. We paid $140.00 just to get in for 7 people. I bought 3 drinks for $34.00. After spending just 5 mins. we felt like its pretty boring and we just quickly finished the drinks and left with disappointment. To top it all off. 10 days later I look at my statement and I see there were 3 different charges made with the same amount. Then I left a message and no one got back to me till this day. I have already informed BBB. and I want to share this so I can caution others. Unfriendly staff, boring music, expensive cover and thieves.

Made reservations at Pink Elephant. I changed plans for us to wine and dine at the Buddha Bar (should have gone there, place is great) around the corner, convinced my associates that reservations were taken care of, and took a car so the ladies would not have to walk far. When I arrived we waited in line so as not ruffle any feathers with the people who were already waiting. About ten minutes later, I made it to the door and mentioned that we were on the list. My polite introduction was met with a shrug-off from an unprofessional doorman moonlighting as a bouncer. He was completely unconcerned that we had, "'supposedly' put our names on the list," despite describing in patient detail my conversation with the reservation girl over the phone. His response was, "it doesn't matter if you are on the list, we take people off the list who aren't important enough to remain on the list." No argument ensued, I simply turned to my friends, who all looked back at me like they couldn't believe what they had just heard, and we walked away.

Are you a single, well dressed, good looking girl which is out with a friend for a wild single girls night? DON'T go to PE! In fact, you would never gain the entrance there. The only way in which the shaved guy at the entrance let you get in, if you are a student, with sneakers and a guy. Yesterday, Thursday, I had the bad idea to go there with a friend (rather than go to surely nicer places as PM or 20 June) and this PERSON arbitrary decided that me and my friend (two attractive single girls, very polite and at their first- and last!- experience at PE!) were not "enough" to gain the entrance. I saw groups of only unattractive guys go in. I saw students with sneakers and jeans, enter. But two pretty girls, not. Moreover, me and my friend were on list, which should guarantee us the entrance, but it did not help at all! Save you night! DON'T GO TO PINK ELEPHANT!.
