My friend and I stopped in after having dinner in the neighborhood at Artisanal. The bartender proceeded to overcharge us after his mis-hearing our order. After paying and tipping, I checked the prices listed in their cocktail menu and brought the mistake to his attention, as I thought the bill seemed excessive for two drinks. He was unwilling to make any adjustments and was rather rude and dismissive. Ultimately I gave up quibbling over $5 extra dollars, but the result is that I will never patronize this bar again and will make sure to share their cheap and lowbrow behavior.

Went here for a birthday party and had a great time! There is a perfect spot in the back w/ an additional bar that is good for groups. The music was good and the DJ even took some requests! The only downside of this bar is the horrible bouncer - he must think he works somewhere much more swanky. Oh well - if you can see past his ridiculous behavior, the bar is pretty fun!

Visited PS 450 on a quiet Monday night for some drinks. The bar was virtually empty - save for a few sports fans along the front bar. We sat at the more relaxed area at the back. Our waitress was really polite and looked after us well, and there were some good cheesy tunes playing. We sampled a few of the "bottle cocktails" which were fantastic - $48, and each bottle gave all five of us two glasses each. We didn't have any of the food - but the $10 chocolate fondue sounds a treat!

Great DJ for dancing; the service is terrible and drinks are overpriced ($6 drinks elsewhere are $8 and the drinks are smaller). I reserved tables for 30 people; when we got there our waitress introduced herself and asked we only order from her. We ordered--I started a tab--and she kept coming back for 5 minutes nonstop (how quickly do people drink?). After that, I didn't see her for the rest of the night (aside from her drinking in the kitchen). My friends & I started ordering drinks from the bar (waitress wasn't an option any longer) but because the waitress had my credit card I paid cash to drink from the bar. The waitress finally appeared and when I asked for my card back she was wasted. She gave me my card and said my group was (direct quote) “not worth her time.” Also, a friend who wasn’t causing any trouble was thrown out by a bouncer—didn’t even let him get his jacket. Someone else had to go get the coat check ticket and bring him his coat outside. Summary: dancing was fun, but the staff doesn’t know how to treat its customers.
Picnics with a view, roller-skating nostalgia, and a party for gay headbangers.
