DO NOT EVER GO TO THIS BAR! The bar tenders are crooks. They rang us up for $150 bill when we were there only for an hour and between the 6 of us we had about 2 beers a person. At first we refused to pay that because he was obviously cheating us, he had put shots, food, and other mixed beverages on our bill. Then they threatened to call the police on us. As we were outside talking about what we were going to do the bouncer let us know we were not the first people to get cheated at this bar, that the bar tenders have a history of this. This place is terrible, even if we didn't get cheated I would have nothing positive to say about this place.

Me and my boy came to NYC for the weekend and on our last night (Sunday night), SoHo was pretty much dead. We got worried that everyone in NYC was asleep after midnight in the city that never sleeps. Coming from LA, we know that times like this call for a chill bar with at least SOME girls, and cool bar staff. My boy met some girls at my hotel and they recommended this place. It was super chillaxed, had good music, nice vibe, and this usually packed spot (according to others we spoke to. When we told people we were headed there they asked if we knew someone!) had seats up front! Plus there were cool guys n gals and a cool as hell bartender. Thanks!!

I had my 23rd Birthday at Puck Fair and it was excellent. I made a reservation a week before for a table of 10 to 12 with the manager. It didn't cost anything to make the reservation and they called to confirm it during the week. When I arrived exactly at 11pm, they were getting the tables ready in one of the "cubicles" and said we could stay there all night. It was the perfect fit for my friends and I: we had a great server who was very attentive, the food was very good for bar food, the music was good, and the drinks affordable. For my friends, who would prefer a pub over a posh lounge any day, loved it. And I definitely plan on going back, there were tons of british or british-posing guys hanging out there.

I love Puck Fair for its unpretentiousness. The staff is friendly, the menu is not rich, but sufficient, and the choice of tap beers is excellent. If you come alone, you'll always find some fresh British and Irish newspapers to read. The pub does get overcrowded often, which proves that it is a good establishment. I am planning to invite a bunch of friends there later this month.

Best just after work, don't stay for the crowd.

If you're british or have a thing for the brits you'll be at home in this over crowded bar. The bar is always overly crowded early (10pm). After work you can move freely and have a good time, but don't expect that to last all night. Great beers and bar tenders. The Lower bar is optimum; easy bar access, occasional seats, bathroom and exits easily navigable.

First impressions leave a mark and being greeted at the door by a extremely large man in a kilt sure did. While the decor of Puck Fair was designed to wow and impress in a rustic sort of way, the crowd, hand picked by the man in the kilt, did not. A predominantly male crowd intent on reliving their bygone fraternity days seemed to have a strangle hold on the place. Fortunately, tables tucked away in the lesser populated but still very lively lower level provided some refuge in which to enjoy several surprising good pints of beer.
