EXCELLENT beer selection - my friends and I spend all night swapping beers and noshing on brats hot off the grill. We always have a great time here. Try to get there early on the weekends so you can grab a table. The food that comes from the kitchen is terrible, so I would stick with beer and whatever comes hot off the grill from the "brat stand" in the back.

You'll find a great selection of beers at Radegast (i.e. no PBRs!), and the two large rooms provide an Oktoberfest feel, especially during the summer. The food is only so-so, but I'll admit that the hot-off-the-grill kielbasa was quite tasty after I polished off my big mug (it required two hands for lifting) of pilsner.

The hall's community seating on a first come, first serve basis is great for a relaxing time out. Order off the menu or just walk up to the grill, allowing you to grab a bite as quickly as you want. The different grilled sausages are fantastic (venison, brats, weisswurst, and smoked kielbasa on the night we went), and the beer selection is just what we were looking for (try the Schwarzbier). The apple streudel was delicious, especially the fig & pumpkin ice creams served with it. It definitely reminded me of the beer halls in Bavaria. We weren't rushed even though the place was packed, and there were others having a birthday celebration or simply working on a laptop. I would recommend this to anyone!

For parties of at least 6 the Radegast computer automatically adds a 20% tip to your beer and food consumption. Unfortunately this 20% tip is not reflected on the charge slip that is returned for your signature. It shows only a "Purchase Amount" and on the next (blank line) suggests "Enter Tip Here". If you unwittingly add (what would be a second) 15% to 20% tip on your charge slip, you will have tipped 38% -44% total. This tipping set-up for 6 or more, even if you catch on to it, takes away from what otherwise would be an enjoyable, unique beerhall experience. The beer and the sausages from the grill were good; everyone on on our table liked the strudel; the Veal Schnitzel, however, was disappointingly dry and tastless. Overall service was good.
