Red Rock West has been on my radar for a while, and it was well worth the wait. There was a great mix of girl to guy ratio, an easy door, and sandwiched between two other clubs with lines. The bartenders are ridiculously fun and the crowd is insane. Its like Vegas in NYC. Great for girls or guys night out and groups. Bachelor and Bacherlorette parties start or end your night there.

I had a fantastic time at RRW when I visited my friend for the 1st time in NYC. The barqueens got me utterly polluted, didn't rip me off (I think that must only happen to you menfolk) and I felt very safe... I danced on the bar, too. My husband was not with me, but he appreciated the pics I took of the hotties serving those killer drinks. The perfect end to my first, albeit drunken night in NYC.

when entering, you'll see the "regulars" and then the private equity folk who enter in a kind of urban safari to see what the place is really like. the bartenders and aforementioned regulars are seasoned pro's, targeting the whims and curiosities of the folk on safari in this random spot. The bartender tried to rob me, literally, and after wrestling my wallet and all of my cash back from her I witnessed two other employees robbing collared clientelle while pressing themselves up against them and whispering crap in their ears. it's interesting until you realize that 80% of the scene works there and is has one aim in mind: that being, rob anyone who isn't in on the deal. the bartender then proceeded to write off several extra drinks on another poor gentlemans tab without mentioning it. to those who don't care, enter, but the place is a scam and a front. nothing real about it, just a bunch of city folk who dress up, make a lot of noise, and steal under a thin veil of bs.

First off, let me say that I am not some uptight banker who wandered into the wrong place. I am completely fine with a trashy dive bar. However, this bar has absolutely nothing going for it. All the hooplah that has been made of the wild time is completely false. Anytime that a bartender tries to pour liqour down your throat, you are flanked by two bouncers just hoping that you will act up. As if the crowd of blue collared shirts is about to get rowdy. There are about 2 bouncers for every patron. In addition, the bartenders will routinely try to add drinks to your tab as well as even grab money out of your wallet. Not even borderline fun.

A veritable Shangri-La of dirty-eyed cops, firemen, and construction workers await you here. DON'T get on the bar. DO accept the ten free shots you will be offered within your first hour there. Pick your Penthouse Forum fantasy of choice -- FYI this is a BIGTIME Fleet Week hangout! The hottest sailors and soldiers you have ever seen! -- and thank the hardworking men of our country. It's the patriotic thing to do.

This is a gem of a place. It has some of the most talented girls who when they aren’t giving you sass from behind the bar are stomping a mud hole into the bartop clogging like the place should be called Billy Bob’s. This bar is like some other Western Bars except they do a lot of stunts. The girls clear the jukebox at 8pm and load up about 4 or 5 hours of their own tunes so they can dance to a pre-ordained program of western, rock and patriotic songs. All the girls have their own specialty numbers that they will dance to. They also blow fire shots, dump pitchers of water on each other and get the females up on the bar with them. I’ve been there when there were so many girls on the bar there was no place to put down your drink or money. Weekends are their prime times. But any night is fun to just visit and drink. It is a good place to make a night out of it. Talent level; they have had girls leave there to do films, soap operas and perform with a couple of bare midriff former Mouseketeers.
