I was here Friday night to see the movie "Magic Camp." This place is really cool, and so was the movie, (there was even a live magic show before it started and some guy was blowing fire in the street!) The decor is interesting and it appears to be in an old warehouse type space. The food is excellent, I had a very refreshing and beautiful looking crab avocado salad. The movie theater in the back is fantastic, with cozy tiered seating made from old car interiors. There is a full bar right inside the theater and they have two shows a night, 7:30 (all ages) and 9:45 (21+). It's right near Brooklyn Bridge Park so you can walk around before and after for fantastic views of Southern Manhattan. I recommend you stop in, grab dinner and catch Magic Camp while waiting for the fireworks this 4th of July. I'm going back tonight! The burgers looked delicious so I'm going to try one tonight; it's the same movie all week, but a different magic show. I like magic, and theaters with bars in them.
Picnics with a view, roller-skating nostalgia, and a party for gay headbangers.
