I visited the Russian Vodka Room with a Russian friend of mine, and had an awesome experience (but I'd feel just as comfortable going with non-Russians). We set a reservation for two at 8:00 pm on a Saturday with no problem, and the table was waiting for us when we got there. Every person we interacted with at the restaurant was extremely pleasant and attentive. The crowd was a mix of Russian and American, and got louder and happier as the evening went on. The food was delicious and comforting, and I'm still thinking about how awesome the peach/apricot infused vodka was. I left pleasantly drunk and ready to book a one way ticket to Moscow. I love this place!!!

My date took me to RVR for our 1st date. We drank excellent martinis and infused vodkas in a lively yet intimate atmosphere. The barmaid was attentive but not overbearing. The music, the lights, the company created the perfect setting. I definitely recommend RVR. But be careful - you may end up falling for a Russian!

What a great time we had here. Drinks are incredible, Martinis and Infused Vodkas. Traditional Russian fare is delicious. The prices were exceptional. We had Martinis before dinner, Appetizer, two entrees, more drinks with dinner, bottle of wine, dessert and a glass of porto to finish it off. All for $101 dollars, unbelievable. Service was top notch by Sveta, and the piano player was very talented. Great food, drinks and music for an inforgettable evening. Spasibo Bolshoe!

I never miss dropping by when in NYC. The best martini for your money.

The Russian Vodka Room is a great place to go for infused-vodka in NY. (A tip – don’t confuse it for the Russian Samovar across the street. The owner gets a little touchy when you both figure out that you’re at the wrong vodka bar.) They’re known for their home-infused vodka’s, which range from strawberry (my favorite), peach etc. to horseradish, dill etc. for the more daring. You can get their vodkas in heart-shaped carafes (comes in small/large) or your choice of 6 vodkas that come in shot glasses on ice. Their martini’s are also really good for those who can’t stomach vodka straight-up (i.e. sour apple martini, watermelon martini. I would also recommend getting their appetizers as well, which are surprisingly really good bar food with your vodka (i.e. smoked meats platter, cabbage in a phyllo-dough pastry). If possible try to make a reservation, since it gets really packed.
