Hot time

Yes, I would go back!

I'm an occasional visitor to NYC, to stay with a friend and go to the Met. We never miss a stop at Splash for a drink and sometimes go after the opera. I love the atmosphere and the boys are fun to watch, if nothing else. Methinks a few people with age issues have left reviews here; the clientele is very mixed and not at all majority "old." A great place to unwind, and definitely always on my NYC agenda!

what did they do?

No, I would not go back!

As a bartender myself, I must say something about their bartenders. I stood their watching them pouring the drinks. For instence, I saw a bartender making a Greygoose with coke. It should be 1 oz Greygoose and top with coke. However, the bartender poured 2oz + Greygoose and top with coke. Because of that, I only ordered a bottle of Corona with lime wedge for my sake. Anyway, I believe that was my last time going to Splash.

What happened to the go-go boys they used to have?

No, I would not go back!

As soon as I walked into the club, I realized the big differences of the interior designs now than six years ago. At the same time, I also noticed the huge differences of its clientiles now than six years ago. There used to be young and handsome guys, but last night most of the guys there could be my sugar daddy. In addition, there were about 10 go-go boys last night but only one or two of them knew how to dance. Yes, I had to admit they all were eye-candies but that doesn't make them just stand on the stages to watch others dancing. I still remember six years ago, Splash had four or five go-go dancers a night they were very professional. Unfortunately, last night that bubble just bursted.

You have got to be kidding me ...

No, I would not go back!

As a born and bred Chelsea Girl, I found myself here on countless nights for arbitrary reasons over the past 5 years (some of which I was not legal). On a recent Saturday night, I met a friend outside and tried to get in to meet a larger party. I was denied entrance at the door ... because I was a girl! They were apparently "packed" and they had "no room for girls". I understand this is a gay bar, but I felt the way the talked to me and handled the whole situation was very offensive.

OLD GAY MEN & HS boys GALORE

No, I would not go back!

What happened to this place??? I used to go there ALL the time and there were always plenty of cute young guys (in there 20s)..but now it' s filled with old sleazy looking men. WHERE ARE ALL THE CUTIES?? This place has let itself go. Also besides the really OLD men...there seems to a lot of really young (obviously younger than 21). Do they check IDs???...it's obvious that they're not selective as to who they let in. *sigh* This place is so OVER. But if you're an old searching for a nubile young thing...I guess this is the place for you.

Stupid Fun

Yes, I would go back!

Great place to dance and hang out with friends on a drunken night. I don't make it to most of the special guest events, but my friends believe fun then super fun. The clientÃ¨le is made of beautiful young men. That being said, don't expect to make good friendly conversation with someone at the bar unless you are good-looking and a good kisser. Splash is just a fun place to unwind and have stupid fun.
