The bartenders are slow, rude and presumably racist. This bar was recommended for a farewell gathering by a coworker. As I patiently waited to grab the bartender's attention to order my drinks, I decided to sit up in my chair and wave my hands up in the air to grab the attention of the (1) bartender that was servicing the bar. He proceeded to walk over with quite a mean look on his face and told me that I was behaving like an animal by waving my hands in the air and that I was disrespectful. Being an Afro-American woman I felt highly insulted by this comment and took offense to the word "Animal". I would never recommend this bar to anyone in my circle.

time and time again they are unreliable as far as opening time. they say they will show matches in the morning but then nobody can be bothered to opening the restaurant as a line forms of customers and staff.

Slainte is great. Spacious, friendly bartenders, cold beer, delicious food. It's everything you would hope for in an Irish pub. I'm almost hesitant to write this, because I'm scared it'll get more crowded than it already is at times, but I think it deserves the business. Check it out!

Best of New York: Fun & Nightlife
Picnics with a view, roller-skating nostalgia, and a party for gay headbangers.
